Presented for the first time ever in North America, Atelier Nespresso invites guests to distinguished gourmet gatherings: in an intimate loft, renowned Montreal and Lyon chefs Normand Laprise, Sébastien Bouillet, Joseph Viola and Roland Del Monte will concoct extraordinary menus which include coffee in their ingredients.
Launched by Nespresso in 2003, Atelier Nespresso is a concept developed around the three key “coffee moments” of the day, allowing Michelin starred chefs, up-and-coming talents, major sommeliers and Nespresso coffee ambassadors to create unparallelled gourmet experiences based on coffees and food-wine pairings. The concept has been a major success in France, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Turkey, Brazil, Italy, England and Germany. Nespresso chose the culinary capital of Montreal to keep the hot streak going with an introduction to North America.
For the duration of Atelier Nespresso, a magnificent loft on St. Alexandre Street, just steps from the festival’s outdoor zone, will be completely transformed for the occasion. The 26 guests will be seated around a large dining table and can interact with the chefs, who will serve extraordinary menus paired with wines selected by Élyse Lambert, Master Sommelier. Reserved parking will be provided for all guests.A most unique and exclusive gourmet experience!
Élyse Lambert has received a number of sommelier awards, including Best Sommelier in Canada 2015, was ranked among the top five sommeliers in the world in 2016, and most recently, was recognized with the title of Master Sommelier, held by only 232 people worldwide.
Joseph Viola is head chef to three Lyon “bouchons,” all awarded a Bib Gourmand by the Guide Michelin. He was named Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2004.
Roland Del Monte is head pastry chef at Hotel Sofitel Montréal Golden Mile. He was also a pastry chef at restaurant Europea in Montreal. He was named Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1994.
Sébastien Bouillet is a pastry chef chocolatier at Maison Bouillet in Lyon and in Japan. He trained alongside Patrick Chevallot and Philippe Segond, both named Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, and chez Gérard Mulot in Paris.
