The success of the Nuit blanche continues to spread on the international scene.
This utterly innovative formula sparks cultural events and experiences around the
world, with some fifteen cities having now joined the adventure. The ambience created
– a night illuminated- invites citizens to discover their cities from an excintingly
different perspective. Christophe Girard, deputy mayor in charge of culture for
the Mairie de Paris, launched the initiative in 2002 – and in the seven years since,
Montrealers have happily trooped out to stay up all winter’s night long !

Madrid, Napoli, Rome, Valleta and Tel-Aviv.
